The Zulus are the largest tribe in Southern Africa, renowned for their artistry and craftsmanship. On the rolling hills of the KwaZulu, the women of the Zulu continue their traditional art. This work may cease in the near future and the native art will be lost to the ages.
Every basket is made by hand, using indigenous raw material. It can take up to a full month to produce one medium sized basket that will be unique in size, pattern shape and color. A true collectors item that will multiply in value as the native work vanishes. Each basket is created in the home and signed by its maker.
